    Hello all,
    I am going to visit the world barefoot center in the beginning of June. This would be the beginning of our ski season. I know I’m not going to be in shape. I was wondering what kinda workout tips I could get so that I can maximize my experience. So that I can make it through an all-day secession. And if anyone has done this at WBC message me so I know what to expect. My footing experience is all long rope I can do one foots, tumble turns and wake crosses. I’ve also started off of numerous things Houseboats, wakeboard and wakeskate not sitting, cookie and cliffs as high as 15 ft. I’m looking to foot backward and hopefully do surface turns. I really want to do surface turns because my boat drivers are not the greatest for doing back deeps. I’m really excited as I bought a tower boom this season to really start to progress.

    • Hey Matt. This site hasn’t been used much at all. I’m willing to answer any questions you have about visiting a school. Are you going to the WBC for one day or a week? If one day it shouldn’t be a problem. If a week I’d split it, meaning go Wednesday _ Friday. Then Mon Tuesday the following week. Five straight days is alot if you’re not use to it. If you can take a few rips before you go there to toughenYour feet up that’d help.

        Thanks, I’m only going for a day. I was wondering how much skiing would be done in a morning set and an afternoon set and what you do in the downtime between sets.

        • I’ve never skied a full day at the WBC but have at Ron Scarpa watersports back in the day. The WBC is set up in a similar fashion. You may or may not warm up in the morning (stretches etc.) then head out for two morning sets, break for lunch which I believe is provided by them with a full day. You will take probably a hour to a hour and a half for lunch then head back out for two afternoon sets. They do it right and as far as I know are great instructors. I have skied with David and can vouch that he is a excellent teacher. I have heard good things about all of them, though. Have fun Matt, that’s what it’s all about!

          • Just re-read your post….. Between sets you sit and watch the other skiers that you will be scheduled with. IMO this time is as valuable as your water time. You can learn a lot by watching someone else be taught.

              Thanks for the input. I’m from Southeast Indiana depending on how warm the spring is. We usually have some cooler temperatures at night this time of year so it cools off the lake that we usually ski at. It was pretty chilly on a memorial day still last year. When have you skied with David Smalls? Sounds as if you have done some competing yourself?

      My take is your feet will be the problem. day one they maybe OK, day 2 they will be tender and maybe a shoeski day or slower speeds. I just know my feet like a good few long runs, then 2 weeks later I am in decent shape. If you can get a cold water run in on a Boom at least prior to going it will help
